- Our client for this project are a leading global company specialising in automated warehousing systems.
- This company is synonymous with the delivery of logistics automation for warehouses and distribution centres across the globe.
This project involved the installation of automated warehousing equipment in a medical grade storage facility in Victoria.
As part of the project the client required a specialised team of tradesmen that had experience in medical grade facilities and had the abilities and experience to liaise and be the eyes and ears for overseas technicians who were unable to enter the country.
Jarlam was engaged to run the installation of this project and liaise with overseas technicians to successfully install the mechanical components for several robotic cranes and guide tracks for the automated warehousing system.
As part of our site engagement process Jarlam undertook project meetings on site with the relevant stakeholders and identified early, some initial challenges around space and entry into the facility given the large nature of the robotic cranes and guide tracks. Given the vast experience of our site team, these challenges were easily negated with careful planning in relation to the type and size of hire equipment and the process required to navigate the small entry space.
Given the nature of the facility and our experience working within the pharmaceutical industry, Jarlam was able to easily identify suitable fixings and parts that met or exceeded the required standards.
Whilst working on this site our teams had to also navigate the careful constraints around dust minimisation and the required floor protection to ensure the integrity of the floor surface remained intact.
Benefits / Outcome
This project was such a great initiative to be a part of. Jarlam was able to deliver safely the installation of several fully automated robotic cranes and the associated guide tracks used to operate the fully automated warehousing system.
As a team we were able to successfully navigate constraints on site and develop great working relationships with stakeholders both in Australia and abroad. Our client was then able to deliver a high quality product that they could be proud of for handover to the end customer.
We wish our client and their customer all the best with their automated warehousing system and may it serve them well for decades to come. Thank you for the opportunity and we look forward to further enhancing our great working relationships.
