This project involved the installation of a Cooling & Resting Tunnel for the dough production line at our client’s facility in Victoria, with all equipment imported from our friends at Rademaker in Germany.
In addition to the new tunnel, existing production lines were also relocated to accommodate the new equipment.
Jarlam was engaged on this project to complete the mechanical installation of a Cooling and Resting Tunnel from Rademaker in Germany.
This project encompassed everything a project should include, from tight timeframes, installation challenges, relocation of existing lines, working in with production requirements and to top it all off a really tight confined space.
In addition to this our Design Engineers had to provide a certified platform that was built based on an existing layout for Rademaker equipment that hadn’t even landed in the country.
Jarlam was able to meet and exceed customer expectations for the project by running a 24/7 operation across a very tight period.
In addition to on site work our Design Engineers and Workshop team were able to fabricate a certified stainless steel custom made platform that provided a hygienic approach with associated craftsmanship that exceeded food production requirements.

At Jarlam we love a challenge, and this certainly did fit the bill.
Our highly skilled tradesman and experienced project team were challenged on all facets of the project, and it’s safe to say they enjoyed every minute of it.
The Jarlam team were scheduled on a roster that operated on a 24/7 approach. All existing lines were relocated within the required timeframe and all modifications to incorporate the new tunnel were completed to food production standards.
Although our team have become quite accustomed to installing Rademaker equipment there is nothing quite like having our friends from Rademaker on site. It was great to be able to work in with them and further enhance our knowledge of their specialised equipment.
The custom made stainless steel platform underwent rigorous testing and assembly prior to its eventual delivery to site. The pre-installation of the platform assisted with the ease of installation and the eventual delivery of the line on schedule and on budget.
As a result of the project our customers now have the benefit from process improvement, increased productivity and a more functional product line overall.
