For this project, we partnered with a major European bakery group that runs more than 36 bakeries in 21 countries. Leveraging their massive global footprint, the company distributes market-leading fresh and frozen bakery items to retailers and the food service industry across the globe.

As leading fabricators of premium stainless steel conveyors, Jarlam was engaged to engineer an automated system to seamlessly align and position products onto their allocated trays. Our brief was clear: strip out the manual handling from their current bakery production line and replace it with a smart, automated setup. This upgrade needed to drive up productivity, cut down on manual labour, and easily adapt to different product lines.

The Challenge

The Solution

  • Jarlam successfully delivered three brand new stainless steel conveyors and expertly modified four existing conveyors on site.
  • Engineered a custom U bend stainless steel conveyor system to perfectly transport and align the allocated trays.
  • Fabricated an incline and decline conveyor featuring a tight radius to completely prevent product displacement during transitions.
  • Supplied a versatile straight conveyor featuring custom hygienic five millimetre stainless side plates for ongoing production flexibility.

The Outcome
